The National Resilience Institute, started as a local project in Mount Vernon a few years ago after the tragic loss of three teens, is holding its first National Conference. Many are seeking help from the group that said it learned first-hand what it takes to become stronger after difficult times. The group’s CEO, Mollie Marti, says it’s not just about bouncing back but about growing. “We have created a new normal on the backside of our loss, and every community…needs to find that new normal. But it can be a hope-filled and strength-based normal.” The conference included speakers from across the United States talking about coping and growing from a loss. Read more and watch news video.
